All of us have it – potential creativity – in some it forms the train of thought – in others it lies hidden – waiting to be discovered.
When watching children play we quickly notice how many ideas they have whilst constructing their own world. Most people loose this access to their creative minds when they get older or become more aware of the outside world. vasistas will give you back the power to unfold your (hidden, undiscovered) talents.
An art trip can be booked for 3 or 5 days and consists of a workshop in our atelier as well as tours & guided tours.
Our 3-5 day art trips always include practical work in the atelier, directed by the inspiring and encouraging Prof. Angelika Margull. Discussions about art and art techniques will quickly let you deepen your knowledge and perception in art matters. The workshops are limited to 6 people thus giving each individual the opportunity of transforming what they learned into practical work – it can eventuate into still life, nude drawing or experimental art. Collage, assemblage and the use of found objects are good techniques to explore your inner world. This art experience will allow you to reveal your potential and let your creativity flow. We aren’t aiming for perfection; it is our conviction that individual capacity and reliance on self confidence is the ideal path to the discovery of one’s own abilities.
Tip for Berliners: Ask us about free spots in the ‘Wednesday course’ – a running feature. contact
Besides the workshop in the atelier, every art trip includes a selection of tours and guided tours, including visits to museums and galleries, discussions with artists and tours of ateliers.
Many of the places that we’ll show you are in walking distance. Further distances and larger groups will be taken by bus. Groups of up to 6 people can be accommodated in our own minivan.
Learn more at tours & guided tours, which can also be specially booked.
If you enroll on one of our art trips & workshops, vasistas gladly offers you tips about special places.
Shops and boutiques
Where to begin – where to end? Berlin has shops for every possible request– in fashion both illustrious names as well as insider mini labels can be found. Interested in antiques? Entire streets are dedicated to antiques. If you love paper – Berlin has some of the world’s most exquisite stationary shops.
Flea markets and vegetable markets
Berlin is a city with countless flea markets. Whether it is the flea market character of Boxhagener Platz, the maze like and lively flea market with small atmospheric food stalls at Mauerpark in the Bernauer street – there is a different type of flea market in every district. Not to mention all the outdoor fruit and vegetable markets which have a colorful and lively mid-eastern atmosphere to them due to the influence of merchants of Arabic and Turkish descent.
Leipzig flea market
We recommend an excursion to Leipzig’s flea market, it’s truly a highlight. This flea market is still an extraordinary place, where due to the presence of international merchants (one sees French and Hungarian license plates) you can find goods and objects, which can no longer be bought in Berlin. For special occasions we will drive you there in a comfortable van at 5:30 in the morning, so that we arrive early enough to count ourselves amongst the first visitors, and are able to purchase all kinds of rare objects. prices
Besides countless hotels and restaurants Berlin offers pubs, clubs, lounges and bars. We would be glad to arrange or accompany you on tours to experience Berlin’s nightlife. Since we are regulars at many of these hip places, you will be treated as a friend amongst friends there.
Here is a small overview of our favorite places:
»Paris Bar« (a must)
»Engelbecken« (a treat)
»Grill Royal« (art’s elite dines here)
»Sissi« (still an insider tip)
»Clärchens Ballhaus« (this is where long-time inhabitants of Mitte dance with smart French tourists or as Berliners say: This is where the bear tap-dances)
